1. Our Commitment to Accessibility

At Tin Dev Studios Inc., we believe that everyone deserves equal access to career advancement tools. Resulinx is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to make our AI-powered resume optimization platform usable by as many people as possible.

We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we are dedicated to maintaining and improving the accessibility of our Service. Our goal is to provide a seamless, inclusive experience that empowers all job seekers to optimize their resumes, track applications, and advance their careers.

Our Accessibility Principles:

  • Perceivable: Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive
  • Operable: User interface components and navigation must be operable by all users
  • Understandable: Information and operation of the user interface must be understandable
  • Robust: Content must be robust enough to be interpreted by a wide variety of assistive technologies

2. Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Our Target Standard

Resulinx strives to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This means we aim to meet all Level A and Level AA success criteria defined by W3C.

Current Status: Partially Conformant

"Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address any gaps and improve our conformance level.

Standards We Follow

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines by W3C
  • Section 508: U.S. federal accessibility requirements
  • ADA Compliance: Americans with Disabilities Act requirements for digital accessibility
  • EN 301 549: European accessibility standard for ICT products and services

3. Accessibility Features

Keyboard Navigation

All functionality is accessible via keyboard for users who cannot use a mouse:

  • Tab: Navigate between interactive elements
  • Shift + Tab: Navigate backwards
  • Enter/Space: Activate buttons and links
  • Arrow Keys: Navigate within menus, dropdowns, and sliders
  • Escape: Close modals and cancel operations

All interactive elements have visible focus indicators to show current position.

Screen Reader Support

Visual Accessibility

  • Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
  • Color Independence: Information is not conveyed by color alone; we use icons, text, and patterns as additional indicators
  • Resizable Text: Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of functionality
  • Responsive Design: Content reflows properly on zoom up to 400%
  • Focus Indicators: Visible focus outlines on all interactive elements
  • Reduced Motion: Respects "prefers-reduced-motion" browser setting

Typography & Readability

  • Readable Fonts: We use clear, legible sans-serif fonts
  • Appropriate Font Sizes: Minimum 16px base font size for body text
  • Line Spacing: Adequate line height (1.5) for readability
  • Paragraph Spacing: Clear spacing between content sections
  • Text Alignment: Left-aligned text for easier reading
  • Plain Language: Clear, simple language that is easy to understand

Navigation & Structure

  • Consistent Navigation: Navigation menus appear in the same location on every page
  • Descriptive Page Titles: Each page has a unique, descriptive title
  • Breadcrumbs: Clear navigation path for complex sections
  • Skip Links: "Skip to main content" link to bypass navigation
  • Landmarks: ARIA landmarks to define page regions (header, main, footer, nav)
  • Heading Structure: Logical heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3, etc.)

Forms & Input

  • Clear Labels: All form fields have visible, associated labels
  • Error Identification: Form errors are clearly identified with text descriptions
  • Error Prevention: Important actions require confirmation
  • Input Assistance: Helpful placeholder text and instructions
  • Autocomplete Support: Standard autocomplete attributes for common fields
  • Touch Targets: Minimum 44x44 pixel touch targets for mobile users

Responsive & Mobile Accessibility

  • Mobile-First Design: Fully functional on smartphones and tablets
  • Touch-Friendly: Large, well-spaced touch targets
  • Orientation Support: Works in both portrait and landscape modes
  • Pinch-to-Zoom: Zoom functionality is not disabled
  • Responsive Images: Images scale appropriately on all screen sizes

4. Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations. We are actively working to address these issues:

PDF Resume Export

Issue: Exported PDF resumes may not be fully accessible with all screen readers.

Workaround: We also offer DOCX export format which provides better accessibility for screen reader users. We are working on improving PDF accessibility.

Third-Party Job Listings

Issue: Job listings sourced from Adzuna may contain content that is not fully accessible.

Workaround: We provide our own accessible description for each job listing. External job application pages are outside our control.

AI-Generated Content

Issue: AI-generated resume suggestions may occasionally produce content that requires manual formatting adjustments for optimal accessibility.

Workaround: All AI suggestions are presented as editable text that users can modify before applying to their resume.

Legacy Browser Support

Issue: Some accessibility features may not work properly in older browsers.

Recommendation: We recommend using the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge for the best accessible experience.
